Dr. John Nick


General practitioner and practice co-owner, Dr. John Nick opened Scottsdale Ranch Animal Hospital in 1988. Raised in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley, he graduated from Saguaro High School in 1973. Dr. Nick attended Oral Roberts University and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He completed his veterinary education at the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine with highest honors in 1985. That same year, he was also named one of the "Top Ten Graduates" from the entire university.


Dr. Nick is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association and Phi Zeta, the national veterinary honor society. His professional interests include internal medicine and soft tissue surgery.


When he's not busy with his duties at the hospital, Dr. Nick enjoys a wide range of hobbies, including golf, scuba diving, traveling and watching many sports. He and his wife, Karen, have six adult children and several grandchildren. Their four-legged family members include two dogs, Rabbit and Colonel Mustard, and a cat, Cougar.
