Dr. Richard Stolper


Co-owner of Scottsdale Ranch Animal Hospital and general practitioner, Dr. Richard Stolper has cared for pets at the hospital since 1994. Born in Tucson and raised in Scottsdale, Dr. Stolper graduated from Coronado High School in 1971. He attended Arizona State University and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology in 1977. His veterinary education brought him to Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine where he was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine with distinction in 1986. Dr. Stolper also holds an Arizona Secondary Schools Teaching Credential and an Arizona Community College Teaching Certificate. He counts canine and feline medicine and surgery among his professional interests.


Dr. Stolper is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association. He is also a member of the Society of Phi Zeta, the national honor society of veterinary medicine, and Phi Kappa Phi, the Colorado State University Honor Society.


Dr. Stolper lives in Scottsdale with his wife, two sons and two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys supporting his children's sports activities, which include baseball, football, basketball and soccer. He also enjoys watching college and professional sports. Their four-legged family members include two yellow Labs named Sophie and Daisy and a Toy Poodle named Andy.
